Magic shows for Corporate &
Group Events

I can generate laughter and conversation at the driest of corporate events, be it during pre-dinner drinks, during the break between talks at conferences and for your best clients at your trade fair booth. At exhibitions, this brings more ‘booth traffic’, makes potential buyers more receptive to your sales pitch and your brand or company more memorable.

Types of Magic

Close Up Magic

The most intimate style of sleight-of-hand magic that happens before your very eyes.

Helps to bond a group of people eg meeting for the first time, breaks the ice and generates conversation at both formal and informal events.

Suitable for corporate hospitality, conferences, weddings and trade fairs (exhibitions)

Stage Magic

Suitable for a larger seated audience if there is a stage or dance floor available. Uses music and bigger props that are clearly visible from a distance.

Magic acts for trade shows, conferences
& exhibits

Presentations involving magic are becoming increasingly popular at exhibitions and trade fairs across Europe and the US. It’s always much easier to bring your message across or present a new product when people are being entertained in the process.

Among other tricks, I make use of my sleight-of-hand and entertainment skills to ensure that potential clients stop in front of your exhibition booth instead of just walking past.

“René had the visitors to the SBB Cargo stand, and even us, thoroughly entertained with his magic. He is intelligent, very quick and doesn’t shy away from spectators. He works up close, surrounded by spectators and quickly wins them over. René greatly contributed to the success of the SBB Cargo exhibition stand. We can definitely recommend him to prospective clients.”

Magic shows for schools, kindergartens, & libraries

I know how to entertain the kids while giving the adults a good laugh, too. Almost the entire show is interactive, so there’s plenty for the kids to do and participate in. Assisted by young helpers from the audience coins appear out of thin air, colourful silks change places, shoelaces tie themselves by magic, socks mysteriously jump from one foot to the other (!) and pocket-money increases its value.

The routines also include magic with bicycle pumps, a Japanese newspaper and magic wands that magically appear, disappear and multiply.

Two different shows available: Show 1: ages 4.5 to 7 and show 2: ages 8 to 12. René can also entertain the 13-17 year olds, eg. at a bar mitzvah, youth club or school event.

“Thanks René!! You did it again. The kids and teachers loved the show and I saw your cards in various people’s hands. They love abra banana and pulling coins out of everywhere including one of the kids bottoms, that went round like wildfire??!! And of course the tie! THANKS!”

FAQs

  • Yes, I am fluent in four languages including English, German, French and Spanish. I also have a working knowledge of Japanese!

  • This is a difficult question since I’m a magician, not a clairvoyant 😉 But as a rule of thumb, you should think about booking your entertainment about six weeks ahead if you are fixed on a special date, especially if it’s on summer weekends or during the Christmas season. Even if the date is not 100% sure yet, we can always reschedule, subject to availability. However, you may be lucky and your date may still be available at the last minute!

  • The final fee will depend on various factors including the number of people attending your event, travel time/distance, duration and time of day. I can sometimes do special deals on last minute requests.

  • Since I’ve been doing close-up magic for the longest, my repertoire is extensive enough to do the length of time you request up to a whole day (eg. at an exhibition or trade fair). The “reachability” with close-up magic depends on different factors but 50 people takes between 60-90 min. depending on how long I stay with each group.

  • Yes, of course. You’ll find all of my PUBLIC shows listed under “Upcoming Events” (link here). Please be sure to contact me or the venue beforehand in case of last-minute changes.

  • Yes, I have a full PA system if you have not booked a DJ or technician for your event.

  • I’ve had enough “flight time” as a magician to be able to do a great job in most situations. I can perform in five languages and have won many award at magic contests, both nationally and internationally.

  • There is no “best age” for the kids show because I adjust every show to the age of my audience but I recommend no younger than 4 ½ because under fours haven’t really grasped the concept of magic yet. For them, if something disappears from A and lands at B - that’s just normal, right? Children have an amazing sense of imagination. However, especially the many comedic aspects of my show appeal to kids at very young age. My show is also peppered with sight gags and bits of business. But if it’s a kindergarten group, the show certainly also works for 3yr olds if they are surrounded by 4+ and 5+ year olds, as is usually the case in a preschool.

  • Shows for school children work best if there is a PA sytem on site. If not, I can supply the microphone, loudspeakers and lighting myself or can connect to any installed sound equipment provided there are two XLR sockets or two 6.3mm audio in sockets or one of each.

  • Yes, as long as it’s for a good cause!
